Use the route that matches your situation
Québec Medical Appointment Scheduler, commonly called RVSQ in French, is the official free service for eligible online primary-care appointments. The government page says a RAMQ health insurance card is required, although an expired or invalid card can still be used to enter the service. Appointment supply depends on participating professionals, location and availability.
Use the Digital Primary Care Access Point when it fits
The Primary Care Access Point can help people find an appropriate health or psychosocial resource. Its callback request is reserved for the situations described on the official page, including people without a family doctor or specialized nurse practitioner in primary care. The digital resource finder can still show guidance to a broader audience. Follow the official eligibility and urgency instructions.
Cancel through the correct channel
RVSQ can cancel appointments booked on its platform and appointments provided through the Primary Care Access Point. If an appointment was booked directly with a clinic or on another platform, use that clinic or platform. Keep the confirmation details until the cancellation is complete.
When no appointment appears
Use the current Quebec finding-a-resource page to review official alternatives, including 811 services and participating clinics. This guide does not assess symptoms or determine urgency. Call 911 or follow the emergency instructions on the official government pages when immediate help is needed.
